The Hydrometer test set is used to determine the quantitative size distribution of very fine particle in soils such as clay and silt.

Hydrometer Water Bath
Circulation unit, ambient to 35°C working temperature, 50 L capacity tank with 8 pieces Sedimentation cylinder capacity. The Water bath has with a digital indicator.

Soil Dispersion Mixer
Operates at over 10,000 rpm, includes dispersion cup, stirring paddle, automatic switch-on by positioning bowl.

Sedimentation Cylinder
It is required for soil hydrometer analysis. The cylinder has a stable base and is made of heavy-wall clear glass scribed at the 1000 ml mark. Rubber Stopper helps prevent sample loss during agitation and is purchased separately.

Hydrometer 151H
It is graduated to read specific gravity. It has a range of 0.995–1.038 in 0.001 divisions at 20°C.

Hydrometer 152H
It is measure in grams per liter (g/L) of suspension and have a range of -5 to +60 g/L, in 1g/L divisions at 20°C.

Sodium Hexametaphosphate
It is a dry powder dispersion agent mixed into soil hydrometer solutions to prevent clay platelets from sticking together in the sedimentation solution. Required in hydrometer analysis of soils to determine silt and clay fractions
