The Sand equivalent test set is used for determine the fines of aggregates. The sand equivalent test is now widely used to measure the relative proportions of undesirable fines in aggregates and granular soils.
The Sand equivalent test set is supplied complete with;
1-) Graduated Cylinders
The cylinder is constructed of clear acrylic and has 0.1 graduations from the bottom of the cylinder to 15in (381mm) height. During manual or mechanical agitation, a No. 7 rubber stopper seals the top of the cylinder.
2-) Siphon Assembly
The Siphon Assembly comes with a siphon tube, blow tube, and stopper, and four feet of 3/16x1/16in (4.8x1.6mm) ID latex tubing.
3-) Rubber stoper
A No. 7 rubber stopper seals the top of the graduated cylinders.
4-) Irrigator Tube
Irrigator Tube has a diameter of 0.25in (6mm) OD and is 8in (203mm) in length. The stainless steel tubing with pinched and drilled ends.
5-) Weighted Foot Assembly
The assembly includes a steel weight, brass foot, and sand reading indicator mounted on a brass rod. Lightweight and easy to use 1000g (2.2lb)
6-) Measuring Tin
Tinned-Metal Sample Containers are used in testing applications for sampling and measuring specimen materials. Lids are tight-fitting to prevent moisture loss. The round containers are 55x35mm dia. x H and have an 88ml capacity.
7-) Stock Solution
Stock Solution is a concentrated calcium chloride solution that is diluted with distilled water to create the working solution for conducting Sand Equivalent Tests. To create the working solution, mix 85ml of solution for every gallon of distilled water.
