Intended use of the Wide Wheel Abrasion Testing Machine
Abrasion Testing Machine is designed for determining the resistance to abrasion/wear of natural stones and concrete products used for paving.
The abrasion wheel is 70 mm thick and rotates at a speed of 75 rpm. The machine is equipped with a digital counter which stops the machine at the end of a preset number of revolutions.
When needed for the abrasion test of different types of materials, the wide disk abrading device can be easily converted by the user to the narrow disk abrasive with the set of conversion equipment or to the wide disk abrading device with the narrow disk abrasive device conversion equipment.
The required set of conversion equipment must be ordered separately.
Mechanical structure of the Wide Wheel Abrasion Testing Machine
• The wear disc is maintained with flexiglass material.
• There is a unit in which the wear powders are used.
• The device has a slide table for the movement of the samples.
• The table can be moved by lever when desired.
• The device has a stainless steel engine housing.
• The device is supplied with calibration marble, Corundum 25 kg abrasive powder and a wide abrasive disc.
How can do test with wide wheel abrasion machine
1- The sample to be tested is fixed with the help of fixing apparatus.
In order start using to device, the sample is fixed by placing it in its place via the handle on the device.
2- Before adding abrasive grit, it should noted that the valve under the sand chamber is in the closed position.
3- Abrasive sand is filled into the hopper.
4- To adjust the revolution speed, firstly press to "Set" button and after "PRST" button.
5- Sample is should by push lever up place it in contact with the disc.
6- For Start to test, should press to "Start" button.
7- When the disc begin rotate, slowly open grit valve.
